Troythix 21BA is a chemically-treated polymerized oil. Troythix 21BA works on the particle/vehicle interface where a structure based on electrical charge is set up between particles, resulting in controlled flocculation.
Troythix 21BA provides the following rheological properties:
- Viscosity increase
- Sag control
- Thixotropy
- Particle suspension
- Holiday/penetration control
Since Troythix 21BA depends on a controlled flocculation action, it is most effective in moderately to highly pigmented systems based on alkyds, oils and oleoresinous vehicles.
Efficiency of this product is enhanced by:
- Increasing pigment level
- Increasing oil length
- Decreasing wetting characteristics of the vehicle
- Addition of Troykyd Calcium Naphthenate drier |
