| Troythix Anti-Sag Special |

Troythix Anti-Sag Special is a moderately polar aliphatic liquid designed to improve resistance to sagging and to pigment settling in solvent-thinned systems.
It has also been used to improve the water tolerance of alkyd and oil-based solvent paints, thereby permitting significant cost reductions.
Troythix Anti-Sag Special has reduced sagging and/or pigment settling in a variety of solvent systems, particularly in trade sales coatings based on alkyd or oil vehicles.
This is generally accomplished with no significant effects on gloss or viscosity.
Level of 5 to 30 lbs of Troythix Anti-Sag Special per 100 gallons of paint are recommended.
Since the product is vehicle-like in nature, it may be considered as a replacement for an equal quantity of alkyd or oil non-volatile.
Troythix Anti-Sag Special may be post-added to a finished paint, but its beneficial effect on pigment wetting suggests its use, where possible, in the pigment grind.
Case histories of problems submitted to our laboratory show that Troythix Anti-Sag Special functions in combination with certain solvents to recover and to stabilize gelled and heavy-bodied alkyd paints. |
