Fluorocarbon polymer-based
A free flowing granular concentrate form of fluorocarbon elastomer designed for use at very low levels to improve the processing of plastics. At the very low use levels (typically 250-1000 ppm) necessary to improve processing, it does not alter or detract from the good mechanical properties associated with high strength plastics. Molecular weight, high density polyethylene (HMW-HDPE) resins. DYNAMAR FX-9613 is most effective in lowering apparent melt viscosity. It permits fabricators to use high strength resins which otherwise could not be processed on available equipment. Now with the aid of DYNAMAR FX-9613, fabricators can produce superior films and other articles of improved strength and quality. As a process aid, DYNAMAR FX-9613 reduces or eliminates melt fracture, can reduce extruder torque, increase output, improve clarity and gloss, and yield films with more balanced bi-directional properties.
The granular free-flowing form of DYNAMAR FX-9613 facilitates distribution of the process aid in the production of concentrates and masterbatches with pellets and granular resins. It may be fed directly into the additive line or a 2-3% concentration can be prepared by grinding or melt blending.
When processing resins containing DYNAMAR FX-9613, the processing effect may not be noticed immediately. Once enough resin has been processed to coat the extruder barrel, screw, and die, the effect will become apparent. This lag time can be avoided by preconditioning the equipment with a masterbatch of DYNAMAR FX-9613, if necessary.
