Beta cyclodextrin is a group of naturally occurring oligosaccharides, consisting of 7 or 1,4 linked alfa-D-glucopyranosyl units that are produced from tapioca Starch. The unique structure of beta cyclodextrins enables them to form host-guest or inclusion complexes with a variety of materials. Beta cyclodextrin inclusion complexes modify the properties of the guest compound,(e. G. Improved solubility, stability or reduced volatility).
Application: They are used for masking taste and odor(good or bad), stabilizing, delivering or solubilizing active ingredients.
(1). In medicine field,
