Lead Peroxide, also called Lead Dioxide, is a brown colored crystalline powder. Lead Peroxide is a strong oxidizing agent. It reacts, often violently, when mixed in dry form with sulfur, phosphorus, or other elements. Lead Peroxide is specifically manufactured for use in the polysulfide sealant industry, such as insulated glass, architectural sealants and aerospace applications. Other uses include curing agents for butyl and epichlorohydrin rubbers, as oxidizers in various organic reactions and to control the burning rate of incendiary fuses. |
