Troysan 174 is a broad spectrum, non-metallic organic biocide designed for use in products which are subject to bacterial deterioration.
Examples of such products are latex paints, resin emulsions, adhesives, pigment dispersions, joint cements, cutting oils, and drilling additives.
Troysan 174 is used in all products where water is a primary component.
Normal use levels range from 0.1%-0.3% based on the total weight of the formulation.
Troysan 174 should be added to the latter phase of the manufacturing process.
It should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 125'F (52'C) for prolonged periods of time.
Further, Troysan 174 is not suitable for use in systems with a pH below 7. |
