Troysan 395 is a highly effective and economical broad spectrum, liquid bacterial control agent designed for use in water based systems.
This water white, low odor preservative, prevents bacterial contamination in water based paints, resin emulsions, pigment dispersions, adhesives, joint cements, sealants, and other industrial compounds where water is a primary component.
Troysan 395 is highly stable over a wide pH range (3-10), and at elevated temperatures.
Troysan 395, is also non-corrosive, compatible with most formulation components, has a low order of toxicity, and has been shown to be safe under normal use conditions.
For systems where water is the primary component, Troysan 395 has been shown to impart preservative activity at levels of 2 Lbs. to 4 Lbs. per 1000 Lbs. of finished formulation (0.2-0.4%).
The actual level required for optimum effectiveness is determined by the individual composition and use patterns of the final product.
Troy recommends that all formulation ingredients be evaluated for efficacy and stability in each product prior to commercial application. |
