Barodense |
|
BARODENSE, ground hematite, can be used to increase the density of drilling fluids and control formation pressures. BARODENSE is chemically inert in a drilling fluid and does not affect other mud properties. *Applications/Functions: Increase the density of drilling fluids up to 26 lb/gal (3115 kg/m3), Control formation pressures, Stabilize the borehole. *Advantages: Has a higher specific gravity than barite, Has a lower attrition rate than barite, Environmentally responsible and nonmagnetic, Contributes a lower solids content by volume than a comparably weighted barite drilling fluid |
