TORQ-TRIM II, alcohol amide, is used as a nonpolluting lubricant for water-based drilling fluids.
TORQ-TRIM II reduces friction between the drillpipe and casing, and between the drillpipe and the borehole wall.
TORQ-TRIM II is biodegradable.
*Applications/Functions: Reduce rotational torque and drag, Replace refined or crude oils where their use is prohibited or where improved lubrication is needed, Improve lubricating qualities of water-based fluids, Free stuck pipe when added in proper concentrations
*Advantages: Imparts extreme-pressure lubrication to the mud, Functions in fresh water or salt water at varied pH readings, Does not grease out from fluids with high calcium or magnesium contents, Readily biodegrades, Has no adverse effect on drilling fluid properties, Does not foam or fluoresce in the drilling fluid, Stable at temperatures above 400'F(205'C) |
