Polylite 32166-20
Polylite 32166 is a series of casting resins developed to produce non-gel coated, solid surface products. Because Polylite 32166 is based in isophthalic acid and neopentyl glycol, it behaves like a high-quality gel coat and will not discolor after continuous exposure to water. Resins in the Polylite 32166 series are rigid, with medium reactivity and low viscosity. They are UV-stabilized and stain resistant and are prepromoted for room temperature cure using methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (Superox 46709). Often 2.4-pentanedione peroxide (Superox 46731) is used in conjunction with MEKP. This system does not require elevated-temperature post-cure to achieve optimal properties. The use of a vacuum is strongly suggested in the manufacture of densified, solid surface products.
